Drawing and Painting
Painting and
Drawing is an art course that builds on the studio art
experience. It expands knowledge and technique in the elements and
principals of art. Drawing and painting as well as graphics and
other art forms are explored. Working from the figure, still life,
and landscape are integral to this process. The course emphasizes
all the basic Studio arts, but expects the student will take a more
active role in mastering skills in drawing and painting. Students
will work more independently and be expected to begin work on a
concentration level of art, for a possible career in the Arts.
Senior Survey
This is a course
designed for art students who have completed Studio Art and Advances
Art II and are interested in developing a deeper understanding and
use of art media and technique. Students can evaluate with the teacher’s
assistance, their basic strength and weaknesses and develop projects
to strengthen their skills in order to develop a well-rounded portfolio,
and identify the role of art skills in preparing for a career in
the art field. |
