Computer Graphics

20 Weeks (5 periods per week)
Prerequisite: Studio art

Course Description

Students will be introduced to the field of graphic communication using powerful Macintosh computers and graphic design software programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, Page Maker, Illustrator, and Imageready. In addition they will learn how to use a digital camera. Students will also master the fundamentals of web page design. Learn basic desktop publishing, Photo manipulation, and draw using the computer. Course emphasis will be on effective visual communication based on a thorough understanding of the elements and principles of design. Images will be created from students’ drawings and photographs.
