Character Council Collects for the Community

Each year, the 6th grade Character Council collects donations of nonperishable food items and toiletries right before the holiday break for PEACE, our local community outreach. This year was no different, with the 6th graders coming together at the Masonic Lodge to sort what was donated and collected. Mrs. Edinger, Mr. Meixell, and Mr. Wilson helped oversee this effort and thought the kids really enjoyed the community service aspect of it. Mr Meixell commented, "They're aware of where the food is going so it is really nice for them to participate in something that will directly help out people in our community." With P2 (Positivity Project) underway, the Character Council really portrays several of the traits that are taught through the program including hope, kindness, and leadership. Tully is proud of all their students and the community services they participate in!
