Food $en$e
for Tully and Local Areas
Food $en$e, a program designed to help families stretch their food dollars, began in May 2007 in Tully through St. Leos Outreach Program located at the church hall, 10 Onondaga St. Anyone in Tully and surrounding areas may participate in this program made possible by the Food Bank of Central New York. There is no income requirement. Order sheets will be available at the top of this web page.

Once each month, participants can order a food unit for $15.50 that has 10-13 food items including meats, vegetables, fruits and grocery staples. The actual worth of the package is $25 to $30. Specials are offered each month on an optional basis for an additional amount. There is no limit to the number of food units a family can order, no obligation to buy every month, and no membership fees or work required.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Food $en$e Program:
Is Food $en$e for low income only?
Food $en$e is open to anyone in Tully or surrounding areas regardless of income.

If I order, am I taking food away from someone who needs it more than me?
A buyer at the Food Bank of CNY purchases wholesale for all 43 Food $en$e programs in Central and Northern New York. The more people that order the better the purchasing power. Your order does not take food away from someone else, rather it supports the program in general by keeping the number of buyers high.

How can I help other than by ordering?
You can help us out by
a) telling someone else about the program
b) donating the price of a food unit ($15.50) to help a needy family
c) buying a neighbor, friend or relative a food unit as a gift
d) volunteer a couple of hours a month
e) tell us your ideas for improving or promoting the program.
