Character Council Conducts Food Drive for Community

The Tully Elementary Character Council helped conduct a food drive for their community before Christmas Break. All students at the elementary were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to contribute to this service project. Each grade had specific items designated for them to bring, but all items were welcomed by everyone. The 6th graders then gathered at the Masonic Lodge with the items that were donated. Students unboxed items and then sorted them into groups (pasta, cereal, hygiene, vegetable, fruit, etc). Neil Casey donated fresh onions and potatoes for the students to bag in bundles as well. A little work and a lot of fun hopefully helped make the holidays a little easier for those in need in the Tully community.
