FFA Scores Big at District Contest

On February 9, Tully FFA members led by Mrs. Leann Jordan competed in the District Competition, racking up the awards. Several qualified for state and will compete again in March. Adrienne Edinger competing in Jr Creed Speaking winning 2nd. In Jr People in Agriculture, Tully swept the field with Megan Weisbrodt placing 5th, Jacob Verbanic placing 4th, Matthew Haier placing 3rd, Ben Fleckenstein placing 2nd, and Ella Hall taking 1st. Hall, Verbanic, Fleckenstein, and Weisbrodt were joined by Ella Tordel, Emma Weisbrodt, and Lily Tranquill to take home 1st place for the Conduct of Chapter Meetings contest. The Agricultural Issues Team of Aurora Drumm, Katie Haier, Lauren Grosso, Cheyenne McCormick, and Olivia Widrick placed 2nd. In addition, Cheyenne McCormick also placed 3rd in Prepared Public Speaking. Gillian Wintermute placed 4th in Extemporaneous Speaking. Lastly, in the Employment Skills Contest, Tully members placed as follows: Katie Edinger - 6th, Ty Edinger - 5th, Sydney Grosso - 4th, Stephen Coffin - 2nd, and Meghan Weaver - 1st. Let's congratulate all those who competed and wish those luck that are moving on!
