Tully FFA Heads to Indianapolis for 92nd Convention
All Aboard!! Steamtown National Park in Pennsylvania was one of the many educational and fun stops that the Tully Senior High FFA made on their way to the 92nd annual FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. There, they learned about the local history and took a scenic train ride. Their next stops included a tour at the New Holland Haytools manufacturing plant, a behind-the-scenes tour at the Lancaster Farming newspaper, and then Hershey's Chocolate World. They topped off their trek to IN stopping at Rivendale Farm to witness and participate in "natural farming" with "modern techniques." Once at the convention, Sydney Grosso was recognized for her Employment Skills interview, Katie Haier and Aurora Drumm helped promote NYS agriculture commodities in the Hall of States, President Angela Touchette and VP Lauren Yonko accepted recognition as a 3-Star Chapter, as well as members attending a career expo, a banquet for National Chapters, and touring Hermitage Farm outside of Louiville, KY. Members attended all general sessions with approximately 70,000 other members from all over the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Additionally, a big congratulations is in order to Tully alumni Ben Reed for receiving his American FFA degree while at convention! Reed graduated from Tully in 2018. The Tully FFA students made it home from a rewarding, educational, and enjoyable trip happily, if not exhausted!
