The chilly precipitation didn't wane Brooke Rauber, Tully junior, from running her best in her 3rd consecutive Nike Cross Nationals cross country meet in Portland, Oregon on December 7th. In a field of 203 runners, Brooke placed an outstanding 7th. With this placing, she also received All-American Honors for the 3rd year in a row. Rauber is only the 2nd athlete from Tully to compete in a national cross country meet; she is in the company of Lopez Lemong. Rauber was also voted the NYS Junior of the Year, won her 4th consecutive NYS individual title, and was named 1st Team All-State. Rauber will be continuing her cross country season with a trip to the USATF Nationals cross country championships in January, where she hopes to qualify for the Pan-American Games being held in Victoria, Canada. Congratulations to Brooke and all her achievements. Tully can't wait to see where her feet take her next!
Update: Rauber was chosen as the Toyota High School Athlete of the Week and deemed "Tully Junior among America's Best Runners" by CNY Central. See her interview here! CNY: Toyota Athlete of the Week
