Leadership Abound: FFA Excels

Tully's FFA has been busy this year so it's no wonder that they are excelling at Leadership. Lauren Grosso, Amelia Jaworski, and Angela Touchette were all accepted to participate in the State Leaders Experience conference in Albany. This two-day intensive conference focused on FFA members engaging directly with their local lawmakers to learn about the legislative process, the issues facing our industry, developing a message, and telling their stories. Grosso, Jaworski, and Touchette joined one hundred and twenty others of New York FFA’s best and brightest where they met with Assemblyman Al Stirpe to discuss current agricultural issues. Shortly after the conference, FFA members competed at the district level Leadership Development events. Several of Tully's students will continue on and compete at the substate level in March.
