NJHS Donates to Helping Hounds

The National Junior Honor Society jumped into service shortly after new students were inducted this spring. During May, they asked students in each homeroom to have a friendly competition to see who could donate the most items for Helping Hounds, a nonprofit dog rescue based out of Syracuse. Students brought treats, leashes, toys, cleaning supplies, and puppy necessities, which were all donated. The competition was close and over 300 items were donated, but Mrs. Franke’s homeroom walked away with the most items donated (more than 150) and a breakfast pizza party. The NJHS thanks everyone who donated and those who helped make this service project a successful one!
