Yearbook Dedication: Jim Bob Waugh

The seniors were abuzz with a secret that they had been keeping for months when Mr. Jim Bob Waugh entered the auditorium on Yearbook Dedication day. Jim Bob, otherwise known as JB, has worked for the Tully district for six years in the maintenance department. His relationship with staff and students is a positive one as he is always smiling and quick to offer a helping hand. He was greeted by members of the senior class, staff, and his parents, who were invited to the dedication. Nate Cole, Yearbook Editor, read the dedication as everyone watched a slideshow filled with fun facts about Jim Bob. Also during the dedication, a moment was given to Mr. John Hobart, a long-time bus driver for the district, who passed away this past year. An In Memorandum was placed beside the dedication page of the yearbook to honor him. In addition, the seniors felt that it was the perfect time for the school’s gift from the senior class to be given. Cameron Fish presented Mrs. Murphy with a wooden etched memorial plaque of Aaron Fish, a former Tully graduate who also passed away. Aaron was also Cameron’s brother and served in the navy. His memory will live on inside the school’s walls. After the dedication, everyone enjoyed a pancake breakfast, one of Jim Bob’s favorite meals. Seniors perused the 2021 yearbook for the first time and enjoyed visiting with Jim Bob as they geared up for a team-building trip to Fillmore Glen State Park later that morning.
