Maker Lab Brings Joy

Maker Lab at the elementary has been a popular activity the past few years, with kids of all grade levels participating in the various projects. Craft making, rocket launching, and robot building have been among the popular with students, but Maker Lab doesn’t just bring joy to the students; it also brings joy to the parents. This year’s winter project was among first through fourth graders, creating crafts to give as presents to their parents/guardians. Each student gift-wrapped a snowman hanger with his or her own face on it and a gingerbread person ornament. The older students helped the younger students through the process, making it a good chance for those older to be leaders. Students then were able to surprise their parents/guardians with a special gift made from love, surely bringing joy to not only the students, but their loved ones as well.
