Professional Development Collaboration
with
Australia

A coalition of schools in the Sunshine Coast area of Australia are working with the Tully Schools to establish a professional development collaboration program between our two countries. Click here to read an article about a major step forward in this collaboration.

Click here to download a proposal document to complete and submit for collaboration projects with our colleagues in Australia. The document may be completed on your computer and emailed or printed and submitted to the Superintendent of Schools in paper format.

Regional Professional Development School

The Tully Central School District has joined with other regional schools to form a Regional Professional Development School in collaboration with the State University of New York at Cortland. The Belize Zoo and the Australia Collaboration are each a part of the partnership as well as other ongoing projects. Watch this page for more details on this program.

Current Projects include:

RPDS Grant Funding for Seven Valleys Writing Project
This project involves several teachers from the Tully Schools spending time this summer as well as during the school year integrating writing throughout the curriculum. The Tully teachers are led by Mrs. Anne Marie Heymann, grant writer and coordinator. The teachers work in collaboration with others throughout the region to share ideas in their efforts. For additional information email tully@pobox.com.

SUNY Cortland Students Experience Classrooms via Technology
Led by SUNY faculty member Karen Hempson, this project enables classes of SUNY Cortland students to experience actual classroom environments without the logistic challenges of travel and space. This is achieved through video conference sessions into classrooms where Tully teachers have welcomed the future educators. Discussion and further learning takes place between the Tully teacher and the SUNY students via the audio and video link provided by the technology. Collaborations with Schools in Australia
A number of collaboration ideas are now available with our colleagues in a consortium of schools in Australia. Additionally, we are open to your own ideas and proposals for professional development partnerships with our partner schools.

Click here to download a proposal document to complete and submit. The document may be completed on your computer and emailed or printed and submitted in paper format.
