Onondaga Community College

College for Kids--Tully

Onondaga Community College is pleased to announce that it is bringing its College for Kids summer program to the Southern Hills! College for Kids is one of Central New York’s most popular programs for students ages 8 – 14. This half-day program will run from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, July 30 – Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Tully High School. 

Students will start their morning exploring the Spanish language and culture through a variety of activities in Spanish for Kids. In addition to an introduction to the language, they will play games in Spanish, celebrate Latin-American holidays, and even create some personalized Spanish-style crafts.

Next, in Martial Arts for Life, students will start off the week learning Kickboxing, a martial art that's been made popular by the UFC, and progress into Capoeira, a Brazilian Martial Art that is the basis for breakdancing and can be found in many action movies.

Registration begins May 1st. This program requires a minimum of 10 students run and is limited to the first 25 registrants.

2012-2013 School Calendar Posted: The 2012-2013 school calendar has been posted. Click here for the calendar. NOTE: Due to the early scheduling of Regents Exams in June, there is a shortened February break in this calendar. Please plan accordingly.

School In Need of Improvement (SINI) Status: The Tully Elementary School has been named as a School In Need of Improvement (SINI). All information and resources related to this process will be available on the SINI Information page of this website. You can access that page by clicking on the SINI Information button on the left side of this page.

School Calendar Change: The 2011-2012 school calendar was modified again due to conflicts with state mandated testing. The testing schedule was only recently shared with districts and is dramatically different than in past years. Although there were appeals to the Commissioner of Education from several districts the dates have not changed. As such the districts in our area have all been forced to modify the dates that were originally planned for April break. You can view the updated calendar here.
