Board of Education Candidates
There are two seats for Board of Education to be voted upon at the May 20 Annual Election. The seats are currently held by John Burgett and John Stidd. Mr. Stidd has chosen to not run again for his seat. Candidates for the seats, in order of their names on the ballots are:
James Bertolo Steven Simon John Burgett
Voters will cast their vote for two of these three candidates.
 Congratulations to all who contributed to our Elementary School Character Council. Their Square Dance raised $1,100 for children in the orphanage in Juja, Africa.

Literacy Across the Ages Program to Present at Statewide Rural Schools Conference The district has just received word that school representatives have been invited to present a workshop at the statewide Rural Schools Cofnerence on July 14, 2008 in Cooperstown, NY. The Rural Schools Association, is a statewide organization, representing the interests of, initiating research for, and providing service and information to the small and rural school districts of New York State.Approximately 300 school districts and BOCES units are currently enrolled as members of RSA.

Literacy Across the Ages Program to Include Adult GED in Tully Details are now in place for an Adult GED program in Tully as part of the Literacy Across the Ages Program. The GED program will be a collaborative effort between the School District, Tully Free Library, OCM BOCES Adult Literacy program and the New York State Education Department. Continue to watch this website and Knight Insight for further developments on this program. Click on the EdAlert button on the left hand side of this webpage to learn more about or to sign up for this new tool to provide school closing, early dismissals or other school emergency information to your email or cell phone with text messaging capabilities. Now you can also sign up for to receive Senior Class information and deadlines to our seniors and their parents throughout the school year.
Notice--all Tully High School Alumni: We have been working with an outside organization called ClassReport.Org to establish a website for Tully Alumni to meet and communicate with their classmates. You can click on the Tully Alumni button on the left side of this page to go to the ClassReport.Org site for Tully. All of the management of the site is handled by class members and people can set up their profiles as they choose on the site. Each class will need to have someone become the class administrator who will assist in some of the details of the site. I can assist you with the set-up of your class pages if necessary by emailing me.
My own high school class has been using this site for several years and we really enjoy keeping up with each other. You can check out our site at this link. Here is a great way for your class to announce reunions, keep in touch and provide other news and information about class members.
