SAT, ACT, and AP Information
Although many colleges are test optional, a strong SAT or ACT score can benefit students in the admissions process. It is of great benefit for all college bound students to take the SAT or ACT. AP courses and exams can not only help a student gain admission to competitive colleges, students may earn college credit based on test scores.
SAT: The SAT is a fully digital, standardized exam used by some US colleges and universities to assess a student's critical thinking skills and academic readiness for higher education. Many Composed of reading, writing, and math sections, the test helps determine both admission and potential scholarship eligibility; students can find registration and preparation materials on the official College Board website.
ACT: The ACT is a standardized test that measures high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work, covering English, Math, Reading, and Science sections. Accepted by all major US colleges and universities for admissions and scholarships, information about test dates and registration is available on the official ACT website
AP Exams: AP exams are standardized tests offered by the College Board at the end of advanced high school courses that allow students to earn college credit or advanced standing at thousands of universities worldwide. Strong scores on these subject-specific exams can potentially earn a student college credit and provide an academic advantage; registration and study resources are available on the College Board AP website.
