Showing Support with Socks

World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated globally on March 21. This day on the third month of the year was chosen due to the 21st chromosome being triplicated which causes Down syndrome. Students and staff at the elementary school showed their support for World Down Syndrome Day with a crazy sock day. Colors and patterns of all varieties were worn in support of fellow students within and outside of the district. In addition, colored paper socks hung throughout the lobby. It was wonderful seeing our students and staff brightly displaying their support!
